Let me repeat that, so far it’s just a rumor….

Verizon has made it clear that they would cut a deal with Apple for an iPhone by the end of next year. It’s been stated that AT&T’s contract is set to expire next year stated from AT&T chairman Randall Stephenson. Another barrier is attempting to make the iPhone compatible with both AT&T and Verizon users. Lastly, one barrier that I know people have is switching their serivce just to get the latest and most up to date phone out there.

If Verizon and AT&T were to get the iPhone together, a number of consumers would stick to their guns and stay with their provider whether it be either cell phone providers. However, I believe it would boost Verizon sales but leave AT&T stagnet. Whether or not this becomes true by the end of next year, being that I personally am a Verizon user; I too would jump on the chance to have an iPhone while still using Verizon.
