Conan the Barbarian is finally being made.  Finally Lionsgate has found a replacement for  Arnold Schwarzenegger.  His name is  Jason Momoa (Stargate: Atlantis, North Shore). Yeap, Ronon is the new Conan and Mickey Rourke may be playing his father!

Ronon Dex is the character that Momoa is most well known for playing from four of the five seasons of Stargate: Atlantis and the upcoming film, Stargate: Extinction.

He beat out Twilight star Kellen Lutz and Jared Padalecki who were both heavily favored.

I personally can’t wait to see how they reboot this classic character.  I pray that they do not butcher it.  We will just have to wait and see.  What do you guys think?
